This research presented a model of factors effecting student entering to Imam Khomeini maritime university according to four indexes; education and job scholarship, personality characteristics, environmental characteristics, and advertising and motivation by family. To conduct this research, a sample of 262 students selected from Imam Khomeini maritime university and several universities chosen in Tehran by stratified random sampling. By applying logistic regression model with all variables simultaneously, the results indicate that the job insure after graduation, advertising through media, risk taking, habitat, motivation by family, living in a military family, grant and no requirement to take military exercise after graduation are factors that influence student entering to Imam Khomeini maritime university. Also by using the binomial test revealed that the interest toward the Islamic Republic of Iran army and especially maritime is a factor of choosing this university by its students.
